I'm Tapas Datta, a software engineer based in Berlin. I design and build scalable systems.

I'm a software engineer focused on backend systems and distributed architectures. I build software that is reliable, scalable, and easy to evolve. My work usually involves designing APIs, improving system performance, and making pragmatic technical decisions under real-world constraints.

Over the years, I've worked across different domains, building and maintaining production systems used by real users. I care about clear architecture, good abstractions, and keeping systems simple where possible.

Outside of work, I enjoy building small robotics projects and experimenting with hardware. I also organize tech meetups and like connecting with people in the community.
